The overall mission of the Center for Hypertension and Precision Medicine, which aligns
with the strategic planning of the University of Toledo, is to promote interdisciplinary
research and further current knowledge, education and public awareness in the field
of cardiovascular disease in general, with emphasis on hypertension and associated
vascular and metabolic diseases. We are persuaded that fostering research development,
facilitating training of faculty and students at the local, regional, national and
international levels, and reaching out to our community, is the path to follow to
achieve the goal of implementing novel preventative and therapeutic strategies in
the management of hypertension and its associated pathologies.
