Admission requirements

Master of Education and Science in Biology and Education Specialist in Science in Biology online tracks 
Life Science College Credit Plus (CCP) Teacher Credentialing Program

  • Ohio license in AYA life science or AYA integrated science with a concentration in life science
  • Undergraduate preparation in biology
  • Admission to The College of Graduate Studies
  • Students who already have a master's degree will be eligible to earn an education specialist degree

Scholarship Application

† The program is 36 graduate hours, online except for two face-to-face experiences (4 credits, included). The required face-to-face experiences are accomplished through two, one-week residencies during two summers.


Accreditation

The University of Toledo is regionally accredited by the North Central Association (NCA) and is authorized to offer degrees online. The Judith Herb College of Education at The University of Toledo is accredited by the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP) from fall 2016 to fall 2023. The accreditation does not include individual education courses that the EPP offers to P-12 educators for professional development, re-licensure, or other purposes.
