RESM5210 | Educational Testing And Grading | Development, administration and interpretation of teacher-made tests and other pupil assessments; basic principles underlying norm- and criterion-referenced tests; problems and issues in grading systems and assigning grades. |
RESM5310 | Educational Research | This course offers an introduction to the history and foundations of research processes. It incorporates the purposes and strengths of both qualitative and quantitative approaches for understanding research problems. |
RESM5110 | Quantitative Methods I | Introduction to major concepts of statistical description; central tendency, dispersion, and relative position and relationship. Inferential methods such as t-tests, one-way analysis of variance, and multiple comparisons are also presented. |
RESM6940 | Internship | Supervised field experiences in measurement, evaluation, research design, or statistics in a variety of settings. |
This graduate certificate may be earned by students from any major. The certificate may be added to a degree or completed independently.

The Judith Herb College of Education at The University of Toledo is accredited by the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP) from fall 2016 to fall 2023. The accreditation does not include individual education courses that the EPP offers to P-12 educators for professional development, re-licensure, or other purposes.
State Departments of Education set requirements for educator licensure and certification. It is highly recommended that students who seek admission to The University of Toledo, Judith Herb College of Education online program for endorsement, initial educator certification, or licensure in their home state contact their home state’s Department of Education to verify that the desired program and its graduates will meet the eligibility criteria for those credentials.
