Dr. Allen is an assistant professor at The University of Toledo, Department of Early Childhood, Physical and Special Education. Dr. Allen works with undergraduate and graduate students who are working towards obtaining a teaching license to work with children from pre-school through third grade. Having been a primary classroom teacher for ten years prior to this appointment, Dr. Allen offers valuable opportunities for students to learn how to be effective educators.  Her research focus is on teacher education and assessment of student learning.
