    PROGRAM OVERVIEW
The Master’s Program in Middle Childhood Education is for teachers (or prospective teachers) of children in grades 4–9.  The program explores critical issues such as literacy, developmentally-appropriate teaching, technology, and multicultural perspectives.  Students usually specialize in two of the following specialties – reading and language arts, mathematics, science, or social studies.

    OF SPECIAL INTEREST
Students seeking initial licensure might consider LAMP, a popular master’s degree program especially designed for students who hold the bachelor’s degree in fields other than education. Students who choose LAMP earn licensure and a master’s degree in Middle Childhood Education at the same time. LAMP stands for Licensure & Alternative Master’s Program.

    CURRICULUM INFORMATION
The Master’s Degree in Middle Childhood Education is a 30-hour program.

    INTERNAL ADMISSIONS DEADLINES
