Many UT students and organizations are participating in the first Great Glass City Clean Up, set
for Saturday, April 14 from 2 to 5 p.m.

Approximately 950 volunteers will pursue the ambitious goal is to remove all of the litter from
Toledo, Sylvania, Holland, Perrysburg, Maumee and Rossford in just three hours.

University of Toledo organizations which have expressed their support and participation in the
event include: Miniya; Iota Phi Theta; Litterbugz; Students In Free Enterprise; Campus Activities
and Programs; American Marketing Association; Alpha Kappa Psi; Rockets Football; Borderline;
Muslim Students Association; Student African American Brotherhood; Sigma Lambda Gamma;
Gamma Beta Phi; Dollars for Change; College Republicans.

The energetic environmentalists will begin with what are historically the dirtiest areas, moving
to cleaner areas as time permits.

There is still time to join the effort if you want to help. Organizers are also requesting donations
of cleaning supplies for the event, specifically: 13‐gallon trash bags; rubber gloves; litter
grabbers/pick sticks; reflective gear; brooms; rakes; shovels; trucks; food and drinks; and
sanitizer.
