BLX Program: Belonging Excellence Program
The Belonging Excellence Program (BLX) is designed to help students succeed in their academic, cultural, and social transition from high school to college. Students participate in five days of transitional programming that includes educational workshops, leadership training, and peer mentorship and additional programming throughout the fall and spring semester to foster excellence within the first year of college.
Students who complete the BLX Program will:

- Feel Connected to the University of Toledo
- Identify opportunities for campus and community engagement.
- Learn how to use campus academic and support resources.

BLX LLC: Belonging Excellence Living Learning Community
The Belonging Excellence Living Learning Community is a specialized community of students living and learning together in a dedicated residence hall area. This LLC helps new students understand campus academic and social expectations, participate in on and off-campus cultural and social activities, and learn how to use their personal experiences, interests, and leadership skills to transform their communities.
*The BLX LLC is open to commuter and residential students.
BLX-Next: Belonging Excellence High School Peer Mentorship Program
BLX-Next pairs graduating high school seniors from Toledo Public Schools with current UToledo students who act as peer mentors to assist with the transition from high school to the first year of college at UToledo. Your peer mentor will help with:

- Tips to navigate campus.
- Assistance with UToledo pre-college processes
- Early access to UToledo support resources

HOPE TOLEDO PROMISE PROGRAM - COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIP
The HOPE Toledo Promise Program is designed to help students bridge the gap from high school to post-secondary education — community college, university, or trade schools.
Multicultural Emerging Scholars Program (MESP)
Multicultural Emerging Scholars Program (MESP) is a six-week summer bridge program designed for first-year students to help them make the academic, social, and cultural transition from high school to college and inspire educational achievement in college-level courses. It gives preference to students interested in engaging in a culture of academic success in an ethnically, religious, and gender-diverse student environment. May be required for some admitted students.
