Vehicle repairs, inspections and services

  • Responsible departments must coordinate with approved vendors to ensure the vehicles proper use, care and operation.
  • Responsible department must schedule the appointment, coordinate vehicle drop-off & pick-up.
  • Responsible department will oversee payment of all vehicle services.

 

Yearly Maintenance Requirements

  • Preventative Maintenance Repairs are required every 6 months or 6,000 miles (whichever comes first) these services include: lube, filter & oil changes.
  • Corrective Repairs include: normal wear and tear repairs.
  • Emergency Road Service include: unexpected repairs such as - flat tires, broken windshield, towing and etc.

Annual Vehicle Inspection Requirement

  • Responsible department must schedule an annual inspection. This inspection can occur during a scheduled preventative maintenance work. 
  • Must use preferred vehicle maintenance vendor.
  • Vendor will provide you with electronic or paper copy of completed checklist.
  • Copy of the completed checklist must be sent to UTFleetOps@utoledo.edu

Copy of Annual Vehicle Inspection form is required by June 30th each fiscal year for compliance, reporting & insurability of vehicles. Failure to comply by the deadline may result in loss of vehicle insurance.
