FNL Friday Night LightsFriday Night Lights
Every Friday

  • Group of student volunteers dedicated to helping UT conserve energy by turning off lights in academic buildings on Friday nights
  • Volunteers have the opportunity to earn service hours that may be able to be applied to other groups, fraternities, sororities, etc.
  • FNL meets every Friday at 6:30 PM in the South Dining Hall in the Student Union

BlackoUT Turn the Lights Out on Energy WasteBlackoUT
November 1st – 30th

  • Campus-wide residence hall energy competition
  • Energy consumption of each residence hall will be monitored and then compared to consumption during the same period the past year
  • Residence hall that saves the most energy wins a hall trophy and a to-be-determined prize!

Campus Conservation Nationals 2014Campus Conservation Nationals
March 17th  – April 6th

  • Largest nationwide electriciy and water reduction competition on college and university campuses
  • 3-week competition between residence halls as well as against other colleges
  • Residence hall that saves the most energy wins a hall trophy and a to-be-determined prize!
