Meet the Team
Jason Toth was named senior associate vice president for administration in January 2019. He oversees the University's Facilities & Construction and Supply Chain offices.
In his role, Toth leads the planning, directing, and monitoring of facilities operations and maintenance for the physical plant of the University. He is also responsible for the coordination and management of capital construction projects, aligning them with the University's Strategic and Campus Master Plans. Additionally, Toth leads the supply chain management division which handles University procurement, Shipping/Reciving/Mail Services/Surplus Property, along with the University of Toledo Medical Center's central distribution and linen services areas.
Toth joined the University in 2011 as the Director of Facilities/Civil Engineer. He oversaw the re-engineering of the department's Construction Project Management Team. He has applied his expertise to streamline processes and create efficiencies resulting in increased customer satisfaction and a reduction to the University's deferred maintenance liability.
In 2012 Jason was promoted to University Chief Engineer, in 2013 to Associate Vice President, and in 2019 to Senior Associate Vice President.
Under his leadership the departments for which he provides oversight strive to provide exceptional environments, deliver top end service, and promote the University's mission to improve the human condition.
Prior to joining UToledo, Toth spent 13+ in the construction management field working for Bostleman Corporation.
Toth received his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Case Western Reserve University. He is a LEED accredited professional and attended Harvard Graudate School of Eduction, Institute for Educational Management.
Main Campus Facility operations
As a Director of Facilities Operations on Main Campus, Dan facilitates all technical and administrative aspects of maintenance operation. He and his team provide plant maintenance services and distribution systems along with construction and renovation services to the main campus of the University. The areas overseen include structural, electrical, and mechanical maintenance as well as grounds.
Manages mechanical maintenance for Main Campus buildings. Responsible for budgets, construction projects, and supervision of the following trades personnel: AQT (HVAC&R), Building Automation Systems, Plumbing, and Steam Generation/Distribution.
Manages structural maintenance for Main Campus buildings. Responsible for budgets, construction projects, and supervision of the following trades personnel: Painters, Maintenance Repair Workes, Locksmiths, Pool technician and Roof maintenance.
Manages electrical maintenance for Main Campus buildings. Responsible for budges, construction projects, and supervision of the following trades personnel: Electricians and Life Safety Technicians.
Maintains natural environments, recycling, irrigation and landscaping. Maintains lawns, beds, trees, shrubs, water features, sidewalks and roads. Trash removal and control, supports all outside campus events. Student centered, employees 10-12 students per year.
Health Science campus facility operations
As the Director of Facilities Operation, Jerry provides leadership and direction to the UToledo HSC Facilities team. He and his team provide 24/7 maintenance support and construction & renovation services to UToledo Health Science Campus and hospital facilities and infrastructure. He ensures that all UToledo facilities maintain compliance with Joint Commission Compliance (JCAHO) and other clinical and academic accreditation organizations.

Manages structural maintenance for Health Science Campus buildings. Responsibile for budgets, construction projects, project management and supervision of the following trades personnel: Painters, Maintenance Repair Workers, Locksmith and Roof maintenance.

Campus planning, design & construction
Provides programming, space planning and architectural services. Provides project management on selected capital projects. Serves as Facilities and Construction Architect.
central services
Manages, directs, and coordinates the activies and operations of Central Services including Custodial, Work & Key Control and Fleet. Coordinates the administration of service contracts for Pest & Waste management. Makes recommendations concerning the hiring of staff, reviewing and evaluating work performance, counseling, discipling and recommends termination of staff. Scheduling of personnel as well as indirectly supervising staff to include peridoically reviewing activities to ensure conformance with standards of quality and safety.

Business Operations
As the Director of Business Operations, Zach is the primary financial & business officer of Facilities & Construction and Supply Chain Management. Zach is responsible for leading and evaluating all phases of business and financial activities for the department. He provides strategies surrounding a broad range of operating, planning, capital project financing and procurement activities, as well as management of the University Fleet Operations.

Provides leadership and coordination to the University of Toledo's sustainability efforts and serves as a campus advocate around sustainability initiatives. Facilitates student involvement in sustainability invitiatives, serves as an advisor/mentor to sustainability related student clubs/organizations and collorates between all constituents and appropriate offices. Provides recommendations instrumental to activities that directly influence operations, maintenance, construction, energy procurement, commissioning, energy demand management, and energy reporting.
