The UT Outdoor Classroom Garden relies on volunteers. Volunteers help with planning garden bed design, planting seeds and
tending to seedlings, transplanting starts to the garden, weeding and tending garden beds, harvesting flowers and food, and
in preparing the garden beds for winter plantings including cover crops and garlic. Volunteers can spend as little as a half
hour per week, or up to 3-4 hours per week depending on interest. Most of our volunteer activities take place during our work
days. Please contact Stacy Philpott (stacy.philpott@utoledo.edu) or Joe Blockland (Joseph.Blockland@rockets.utoledo.edu) to find out about upcoming work days or with questions about how you can get involved.
