Technology Control Plan

The Technology Control Plan (TCP) is developed by the PI with assistance from the Research and Sponsored Programs office (RSP). The purpose of the TCP is to ensure that technical information and/or technical data which is not specifically exempted as Fundamental Research and/or Educational Information by EAR or ITAR is not transferred to Foreign Persons (including employees, visitors, or students) unless approved by license or other authorization with the Department of State, Office of Defense Trade Controls (ODTC) or Department of Commerce.

The Acknowledgement form certifies that every lab member working on an Export Controlled-project, or visitor to the lab, has read and understands the briefing, and that individual agrees to follow the procedures outlined in the TCP. The Acknowledgement form indicates the signer’s understanding that he/she could be held personally liable if they unlawfully disclose, regardless of form or format, Export-Controlled Information to unauthorized persons.
