Debra A. Davis (Deb) is an emerita professor of art at the University of Toledo. She
received her photography M.F.A. in 1991, from the University of Colorado, Boulder
and an M.S. Ed, in Instructional Technology, Media Production from Northern Illinois
University in 1984. She also received her B.A. in Studio Art from Northern Illinois
University. She exhibits photographically based or derived artworks, both nationally and internationally. Her most recent international exhibit was in collaboration with Michael Petry, titled “Golden Rain.” Davis’ work titled “essence,” was incorporated into Petry’s “On the Edge,” at the Eigeroya lighthouse in Egersundin, Norway. The work is in the collection of the Palm Springs Art Museum. Recently, Davis’ work titled “Deposed Provost,” was included in the Simply exhibition at the Center for Fine Art Photography, Fort Collins, CO, and she participated in a Women’s Studio Workshop, Mapping Our Lives in Dystopian Times in Findhorn, Scotland. She has received various awards throughout her career for her photographic works. Davis also served as the principal investigator and was a recipient of numerous grants associated with the Cultural Domestication - Instinctual Desire international art project. |
