Research and Sponsored programs
The University Research and Sponsored Programs provides leadership in setting the research agenda facilitating research and sponsored program activities, and supporting technology transfer efforts of The University of Toledo. Externally funded research is rewarding to both the researcher and the University community. Through investigation of problems and the establishment of programs, research offers an opportunity to address areas critical to state and local interests. These activities can generate new knowledge, new products, or new processes that impact the well-being of all citizens. Research also serves to enhance the learning process for both faculty and students.
RSP offers assistance to obtain external funding for research and special projects.
Several federal funding agencies have issued stop-work orders and terminations for certain grants and contracts in response to federal executive orders and presidential actions. Please continue with your sponsored projects unless you receive a stop-work order or termination notice for a specific project or award from your funding agency. Agencies are required to notify the university if there will be changes to your funding once the contract is in place.
If you receive any of the following, promptly notify the Office of Research & Sponsored Programs (ORSP) at FedGrants@UToledo.edu. Do not reply to the sponsor without consulting ORSP. The Research Office team will work with you to determine the next steps to ensure compliance.
- Stop-work order
- Termination
- Change in award terms or conditions or procedures resulting from Executive Orders
- Certification requests
- Additional form completion requests for your awards
