Meet Nick Bonfiglio

'22, Dual Degree Bachelor of Arts in Geography and Bachelor of Arts in History

Now wrapping up his final year, Bonfiglio was chosen as one of eight — and the only American — to intern for the Permanent Observer Mission of The Holy See to the United Nations from January until May 2023. He will serve as a liaison to the Holy See, attending meetings and events at the United Nations, and taking notes to be sent back to the Holy See’s main office in the Vatican.

Disability Studies Professor Recognized with Community Partnership Award

Dr. Kim Gratz and Dr. Matthew Tull, faculty in the Department of Psychology in the UToledo College of Arts and Letters

Disability Studies assistant professor Rebecca Monteleone received the 2023 Community Partnership Award from the Lucas County Board of Developmental Disabilities. Monteleone has worked tirelessly to empower those with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

"I am so honored to receive this recognition...I believe deeply that community partnerships are necessary for creating meaningful academic scholarships that can be used to make more equitable futures."
