The University of Toledo, an All-Steinway School, is a fully-accredited member of the National Association of Schools of Music. Available programs include both undergraduate and graduate degrees in music, including the Bachelor of Music Performance, Bachelor of  Education in Multi-Age: Music Education, and the Master of Music Performance. Hone your musicianship under the guidance of one of our highly skilled and experienced faculty, comprised of professional performing musicians, composers, published researchers, and active members of the commercial music industry. As a student of a university in a metropolitan area, you will benefit from our proximity to and relationships with professional arts organizations, including the Toledo Symphony Orchestra, the Toledo Opera, and the Toledo Jazz Orchestra. Expect to receive excellent instruction and numerous opportunities for the highest achievement.

Ensembles open to all students on campus

Our UTMusic Ensembles are open to all students on campus, no matter their major.  If you participated in music in high school, consider continuing at UToledo.  Some ensembles require an audition, while others are open to anyone who wants to participate.  Our choirs, bands, orchestra, and jazz ensembles are populated by music majors alongside engineering, pharmacy, nursing, education, and any/all others.  All ensembles are 1-credit hour classes.  Visit our ensembles page to learn more about each.  Contact the Department of Music for more information - utmusic@utoledo.edu.

Barbara Rondelli Perry

Barbara Rondelli Perry Scholarship Competition
for Superior Achievement in Vocal Performance

Sunday, April 27 at 3pm
Center for Performing Arts - Recital Hall

Beginning in 1998, the annual Barbara Rondelli Perry Scholarship Competition provides performance and scholarship opportunities for students studying Vocal Performance in the UToledo Department of Music. Student competitors each perform multiple pieces, demonstrating their vocal skill and versatility. Guest judges for the event provide each with positive and constructive feedback.

This year’s Judges:
Dr. Carol Dusdieker – Heidelberg College
Dr. Kristin Clark – Adrian College
Mr. Jason Duika – Verdi Baritone

This event is free and open to the public.  Parking is free in Lot 12,  standard spaces not marked "Metered 24/7" or otherwise reserved.
