2023 UToledo High School Choral Festival

Concert Performance is 5:45 p.m. Open to all.
Cost - $12 per student
Description - The University of Toledo Department of Music invites you and your choral students to attend the 2023 High School Choral Festival with special guest clinician, Dr. Hilary Apfelstadt. Participants will have the opportunity to perform with an elite chorus of their peers and learn from one of the most distinguished choral directors in North America. About the Clinician
Dr. Hilary Apfelstadt is Professor Emerita of Choral Studies at the University of Toronto. Previous appointments include The Ohio State University (1993–2010) and the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. She has conducted honor choruses throughout the U.S. and Canada, including almost 40 all-state high school choirs. A Life Member of ACDA, Dr. Apfelstadt served as National President from 2007–2009 and as Interim Executive Director from 2020–2021.

Digital copies of performance music and learning materials will be emailed to each director following registration. Students are expected to attend the festival with the music learned.
What students should bring to the festival
- Printed copies of the music (digital device such as an iPad is also acceptable)
- Black folder
- Water
- Pencil
Concert attire – Blue jeans and a school or choir t-shirt/polo

Cost
$12 per student. Fees include digital sheet music and snacks (no meal will be provided).
