Concert Chorale

The UToledo Chamber Singers is a select ensemble singing the finest classical choral literature from the 16th through the 21st centuries, including a cappella works, major works for chorus and orchestra, folk songs, and spirituals.  The choir regularly appears at conventions, and special events.  The ensemble is open to all UToledo students through audition.  Contact the director, Dr. Micah Bland via email micah.bland@utoledo.edu for more information.

UNIVERSITY CHORUS - MUS 3130-001

R: 5:45-7:35 P.M. (CPA 1007)

The University Chorus is open to all singers on the UToledo campus.  The choir sings a wide variety of music from a cappella sacred works to spirituals, show tunes, carols and lighter songs.  It performs in at least one concert each semester and occasionally appears with the UToledo University Orchestra and other ensembles.

Dr. Micah Bland is Director of Choral Activities and Visiting Assistant Professor at The University of Toledo, where he directs the Chamber Singers and University Chorus, and teaches courses in choral music education, conducting, and voice.  Dr. Bland received his Bachelor of Music degree from Abilene Christian University, Master of Music in Choral Conducting from The University of Texas at San Antonio, and Doctorate of Musical Arts from University of Southern California.   Read more...
