Information Systems Advisory Council

The Information Systems Advisory Council is a group of industry leaders with an IT focus and IS faculty who are interested in the vitality and continued success of the IS program in the John B. and Lillian E. Neff College of Business and Innovation at The University of Toledo. The Council supports the IOTM department in order to enrich the student experience, strengthen its research, outreach and engagement and maintain relevant academic programming. The Council is a working group where members are asked to:

Provide Innovative Advice from their dynamic perspective as business leaders, university faculty or IS students regarding the relevance and effectiveness of Information Systems programs and curriculum.
Provide a Connection between our faculty and students and the various organizations and industries the Council represents.
Provide Strategic Guidance to identify opportunities and positioning in the educational marketplace that would increase student enrollment, student preparedness for success and increase the value proposition on the student’s educational investment.
Support On-Campus student enrichment activities in one or more of the following ways: industry panels, guest lecturers, mock interviews, “Meet and Greet” networking events, career fair (prep and interaction), etiquette training, student organization sponsorship and presentations and real industry research and project execution.
Identify, create and/or support off-campus opportunities for off-campus student enrichment activities.
Assist the Department with external fund-raising efforts and to help the Department broaden its financial base and improve its facilities.
Otherwise aid the Department in its quest for excellence in research, teaching, professional service and community engagement and be an advocate of UToledo and IOTM by sharing good news about the Department.
