Programs in Educational Leadership

The Department of Educational Leadership offers programs in the areas of Educational Administration and Supervision (EDAS), Higher Education (HED) and Vocational Education (VED). These programs lead individuals to degrees at the Master's, Education Specialist, and Doctoral levels. Specific program options include building administration, district administration and organizational leadership in the Educational Administration and Supervision program; academic administration at community college and public and private (independent) colleges and universities and college student personnel in the Higher Education program. The department also offers a concentration of courses in Educational Leadership - Human Resources Development that can be used as a degree focus of the M.Ed. in Educational Technology or as electives in other Master's programs. These courses prepare students for leadership roles in training and development, assessment and use of instructional technology and performance support systems in Educational Leadership - Human Resource Development; and preparation for teaching and administration in vocational programs, in technical and community colleges, and in business and industry in the Vocational Education program. Master of Education in Educational Administration and Supervision

A. College Core 12 hours B. Specialization 21 hours Students may select one of the following: Principalship, Supervision, General Administration and Organizational Leadership in Schools. C. Project, Thesis, or Practicum 3 hours Note: Students interested in pursuing certification/licensure as a principal, supervisor, or district administrator may use this Master's degree to complete a portion of the requirement. Please check with the department for additional information. Master of Education in Higher Education Administration A. College Core 12 hours B. Specialization 21 hours Students may select one of the following: College Student Personnel, Community College Administration, or General Administration. C. Project or Thesis 3 hours

Master of Education in Vocational Education
