At the UToledo Family Business Center, we believe that businesses have the power to create lasting, positive change. With the generous support of the Robert and Donna Martin Family, the Doing Right Spotlight was created to recognize businesses that go beyond profit—making a meaningful impact in the lives of their employees, customers, and communities.
Each year, we celebrate companies that embody the spirit of “doing right”—whether through philanthropy, employee well-being initiatives, or community service. These companies don’t seek recognition; they do it because it’s the right thing to do. Their stories inspire us all to make a difference, no matter how big or small.

You're invited to attend the 2026 Doing Right Spotlight, a special event celebrating businesses in our community that go above and beyond simply because it's the right thing to do. This year, we’re proud to highlight three exceptional companies: City Apparel+Merch, DMC Technology Group, and Hart.
The event will include a luncheon and a panel discussion featuring members from each organization, moderated by Jeremy C. Park. As the keynote speaker for the 2023 inaugural event and producer of the honoree videos showcased during the program, Jeremy will guide the conversation as panelists dive into their unique strategies and stories of embodying the "Doing Right" mindset.

This inspiring luncheon is free and open to the community, but registration is required.

The Doing Right Spotlight Student Scholarships invest in the next generation of leaders, with support from past Doing Right Spotlight honorees.
These scholarships recognize students who demonstrate leadership, service, and community impact, helping them pursue their education and create meaningful change.
