Center for Education in Mass Violence and Suicide

The Center for Education in Mass Violence and Suicide is led by Dr. Lisa Pescara-Kovach who also teaches graduate-level courses in school violence, prevention through postvention of mass violence, domestic terrorism, and suicide.

At the center, we take a holistic approach to these incidents. Drawing on the knowledge of recognized experts, our research and focus extend beyond threat assessment and prevention alone. We also study active response, case management and postvention. Dr. Pescara-Kovach and other key members of the center are also available to help your school district, college, or place of business create a threat assessment team or improve upon an existing team.
