The College of Engineering at UToledo invites your organization to sponsor a senior design project for the 2025 academic year. Our students will tackle your real-world engineering challenge from January to December, applying their knowledge to deliver innovative solutions tailored to industry needs.

  • Designing a lightweight guard for construction equipment
  • Improving recycling processes for book binding removal
  • Creating productivity tools for automotive assembly
  • Implementing raw material loading systems for electronics manufacturing

2025 Sponsorship Timeline

  • Oct – Dec 2024: Submit project proposals via our intake form. UToledo will collaborate with sponsors to finalize project scopes and deliverables.
  • Jan – Mar 2025: Projects are assigned; students work with company contacts and faculty advisors to define scope, goals, budget, and timeline.
  • Apr – Dec 2025: Teams present proposals, acquire materials, and build prototypes. Final presentations and reports will be showcased at the Senior Design Expo on December 5, 2025.

Sponsorship Details

A $5,000 donation to the UToledo Senior Design Clinic is typical, along with any material costs for the project.
