Sponsor a Senior Design Project

With The University of Toledo Department of Mechanical Engineering

The Department of Mechanical Engineering at The University of Toledo invites industry partners to sponsor a senior design project for the 2026 capstone cycle, running from January to December 2026.

Our senior design program challenges students to solve real-world engineering problems by applying the technical knowledge and skills they've developed throughout their undergraduate education. As a project sponsor, you’ll work directly with a dedicated student team and faculty advisor to explore innovative solutions that can benefit your organization.

  • Leverage university expertise – Gain access to experienced faculty and the resources of a leading research institution.

  • Support workforce development – Help shape the next generation of engineers by providing real-world learning experiences.

Make a Difference Without a Project

Even if your organization doesn’t have a project idea this year, you can still support the program. Charitable donations help fund:

  • Student-led projects that benefit individuals with disabilities

  • Internal and research-based initiatives

  • Competition and showcase projects

  • Shared tools and resources for student teams

Your support empowers future engineers to innovate and lead.
