Charles R. Jones was born on February 5, 1939 in Toledo, Ohio. Chuck is the only child

while taking 18 credit hours to complete his degrees in 1966. Chuck mentioned Dr.
Milt Netter and Dr. Ed Garrison as two professors who made a difference for him.
One of the first papers Chuck remembers writing as a student at Whitmer High School
was on the function of a transmission. Little did he know back then he would end up
working for the Dana Corporation known for transmission research. Chuck has spent
most of his career with the DANA Corporation in various positions as a Design and
Development Engineer, Managerial positions, Vice President of Engineering and currently
as Vice President for Technology Planning. Prior to his affiliation with Dana - Chuck
worked at Borg Warner Corporation.

Pat plan on continuing to enjoy their home, their family and will celebrate their
40th wedding anniversary in December of 1999.
Chuck and Pat were blessed with three children, Tammy, Michael and Timothy. Michael
also works for the DANA Corporation and Tammy owns her own very successful business.
Chuck and Pat enjoy their four grandchildren, 5 yr. old Reid, 3 yr. old twins, Abby
and Austin, and 3 yr. old Skylar who traveled all the way from China to join her parents.
Chuck was instrumental in coordinating the National Antique Truck Show hosted by the
DANA Corporation at the Technical Resource Park. Chuck feels engineering will break
wide open in the field of "mechantronics" in the new millennium.
