While some may renew automatically, it’s smart to doublecheck what requirements you need to fulfill to keep your scholarships. We go over this in more detail in Step 5, Maintain your aid.

We have plenty of scholarships for current students. And there are added benefits to applying as a current student:
- You can use your college experiences (research, projects, jobs) to beef up your applications.
- You have access to university resources like the Writing Center or your success coach to help you with essays and applications.

Timeline
- October: Scholarship applications open (this generally coincides with the opening of the FAFSA Oct. 1).
- February-March: Deadline for most scholarship applications. NOTE: Deadlines vary. Doublecheck the dates in the scholarship database.
- April: Financial aid offers are posted to myUT.
- June 1: Donor scholarships are typically awarded by June 1.
