A nuclear engineer, Dr. Holloway's career has been a mix of research, teaching, administration and global work, including in India, Ethiopia and Ghana. He joined UToledo from the University of New Mexico, where he had served as provost and executive vice president for academic affairs since July 2019.

The Inauguration ceremony on Oct. 16 is one of several events taking place to celebrate the Inauguration, which was scheduled to be connected to UToledo's Founder's Day.
