Ayendy Bonifacio (Ph.D., Ohio State) teaches and writes about American literature and culture, Latine studies, diaspora studies, and print culture from the nineteenth century to the present. He is the author of Paratextuality in Anglophone and Hispanophone Poems in the U.S. Press, 1855–1901 (Edinburgh UP, 2024). His writing has appeared in The New York TimesSlateThe Los Angeles Review of Books (LARB)American PeriodicalsASAP/JournalProse StudiesThe Black ScholarAmerican Literary Realism, and J19, among others.
