Ayendy Bonifacio (Ph.D., Ohio State) teaches and writes about American literature and culture, Latine studies, diaspora studies, and print culture from the nineteenth century to the present. He is the author of Paratextuality in Anglophone and Hispanophone Poems in the U.S. Press, 1855–1901 (Edinburgh UP, 2024). His writing has appeared in The New York Times, Slate, The Los Angeles Review of Books (LARB), American Periodicals, ASAP/Journal, Prose Studies, The Black Scholar, American Literary Realism, and J19, among others.
