His first book, The Pan-German League and Radical Nationalist Politics in Interwar Germany, 1918-1939 (Routledge, 2012), examines an extremist antisemitic political organization independent from the Nazis and its role in destabilizing Germany’s inter-war democracy. Dr. Jackisch has also published six additional articles on topics including Nazi propaganda and the press and Berlin’s urban environment.

Jackisch’s teaching interests include race in European history, Modern Germany, Nazism and the Holocaust, Comparative Genocide, Russia and Eastern Europe, the Age of World Wars, and global and urban environmental history.
