Katie Rosales, M.Ed.
Katie Rosales is a Senior Lecturer of American Sign Language (ASL) who is passionate about helping students learn to communicate through sign language and gain an understanding of Deaf culture. She teaches ASL courses at multiple levels and works to create a positive, engaging learning environment where all students feel supported.
Katie believes that learning ASL is more than learning vocabulary and grammar. It is an opportunity to connect with people, explore a different culture, and develop new ways of communicating. In her classes, students practice using ASL in real-life situations while learning about the experiences, values, and contributions of the Deaf community.
She is committed to making learning accessible, interactive, and meaningful for every student. Her goal is to help students build confidence, strengthen communication skills, and develop a greater appreciation for diversity and inclusion.
