Biography

Qun Wang joined the Department of Political Science and Public Administration in Fall 2020. He received his PhD in Public Policy and Master of Public Affairs from Indiana University Bloomington. He was selected as an Emerging Scholar by the Association for Research on Nonprofit Organizations and Voluntary Action in 2020. Supported by various fellowships and grants, he has published articles in journals such as Nonprofit and Voluntary Sector Quarterly, International Management Journal, Governance  and Nonprofit Policy Forum.

Dr. Wang’s research interests are nonprofit management, cross-sector collaboration, social innovation and impact, public policy, and comparative politics focusing on China. His current research examines how different leadership roles affect nonprofit organizations’ financial performance under authoritarianism. His professional experiences include managing nonprofit and for-profit organizations and providing consultation to organizations across sectors.
