Seth Bowen, M.F.A.
Seth Bowen joined the faculty in The University of Toledo Department of Theatre and Film in 2025. Seth received his M.F.A. from Wayne State University and his B.F.A. from Northern Michigan University. Seth is a born midwesterner and grew up thinking hard work and blue-collar jobs were the best part of life. He ventured into the arts and found his passion.
As a scenic designer and technician, Seth loves to work with the team to consider each show thoroughly and thoughtfully. He not only thinks about what may be best for the production, but also what is the most efficient method for the team.
Though fairly new in the professional world of theatre, Seth has done work for multiple independent theatre and dance groups, including summer work at Tuacahn Amphitheatre. He has had the opportunity to work on world premieres and really grow from the tree of wisdom when it comes to finding new methods and discovering each show.
