Biography
Thaddeus Archer is the Associate Principal / 3rd Trumpet of the Toledo Symphony. Originally from Berkeley, California, he came to Indiana in 2001 to pursue higher
music education from Indiana University. A Master in Music with Honors, and Performer Diploma was completed in Spring 2005
Thaddeus was an Associate Instructor of Trumpet at IU and he was the winner of the
School of Music’s 2003 and 2005 Brass Concerto Competition.
Thaddeus has had the privilege to travel around the world for leading Summer Music
Festivals. He has spent summers living and performing in Colorado, California, Germany
and Austria. In addition to summer festivals Thaddeus has performed with several
area orchestras, including the Columbus Indiana Philharmonic, Owensboro Symphony, Richmond Symphony, and the Indianapolis Chamber Orchestra.
Mr. Archer lives in Toledo.
