Biography
Dr. Tiantian Liang maintains a multifaceted career as a pianist, organist, harpsichordist, and teacher. Her mission is to share her love for music through performing and teaching. A versatile keyboardist, Liang performs a diverse repertoire from the late renaissance through modern-day works.
Liang’s versatility as a keyboardist encompasses diverse collaborative work at the collegiate level, community ensembles, and church. Performing an average of 20 concerts per year, her experience includes instrumental, chamber, symphonic, vocal, and choral programs. Adding to her collaborative experience is a wide range of work as a liturgical musician. During college, Liang fell in love with the organ and chose Organ Performance as her minor. She has served as an organist at numerous churches throughout the Midwest and Texas areas. In 2013, Liang received her Service Playing Certificate from the American Guild of Organists.
She earned a Doctor of Musical Arts in Piano Performance with cognates in piano pedagogy and harpsichord performance at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music. Additionally, she holds a Performer Diploma at Indiana University Jacobs School of Music, a Master of Music in Piano Performance from Rice University, and a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance from Concordia College.
