Our psychologists offer comprehensive, patient-centered outpatient care that integrates psychological expertise into both medical and psychiatric services. We serve a diverse population across the lifespan and are committed to delivering high-quality, evidence-based interventions tailored to each individual’s needs.

Child and Adolescent Behavioral Health

  • Therapeutic Interventions:
    Evidence-based treatments tailored to individual, family, and group needs, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based interventions, trauma-focused therapy, and caregiver/parent support and guidance in behavior management for children.
  • Psychodiagnostic Assessment:
    • Comprehensive assessment and diagnosis of psychological and psychiatric conditions, with a focus on clarifying complex clinical presentations. Including differential diagnosis for:
      • Autism spectrum disorders
      • Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder
    • Consultation-Based Assessments: Specialty referrals are accepted from community providers seeking in-depth diagnostic evaluations with individualized recommendations to guide treatment planning.
    • Please note: At this time, our clinic does not offer psychoeducational assessments specifically aimed at identifying learning disabilities or academic concerns.

Adult Behavioral Health

  • Therapeutic Interventions:
    Individualized, evidence-based treatment approaches, including CBT, acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), functional analytic psychotherapy (FAP), and problem-focused therapy.
    Common concerns treated include:
    • Mood and anxiety disorders
    • Trauma-related conditions
    • Obsessive-compulsive and tic disorders
    • Life transitions and stress-related challenges
    • Relationship difficulties
    • Psychological aspects of chronic or acute medical illnesses
  • Psychodiagnostic Assessment:
    • Comprehensive evaluation and diagnosis of psychological and psychiatric conditions, including complex differential diagnoses.
    • Please note: Our clinic does not provide psychoeducational assessments for academic or learning-related issues.

Health Psychology

  • Transplant Psychology:
    • We provide presurgical psychological evaluations for individuals pursuing kidney or pancreas transplantation or living organ donation. Post-transplant psychotherapy is also available to support ongoing adjustment and health behavior adherence.
  • Cardiac Behavioral Medicine:
    • As part of the UTMC Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation Program, we offer integrated inpatient and outpatient psychological services to support patients managing depression, anxiety, and health-related stress. These services aim to promote healing and reduce the risk of future cardiovascular events.
  • Outpatient Health Psychology:
    • Psychotherapy and diagnostic assessments for individuals coping with primary medical conditions.
    • Evidence-based approaches include behavioral therapy, ACT, and problem-focused treatments to enhance coping, improve treatment adherence, and promote overall health and well-being.
