Elective Description/Requirements: Students will spend most of their time learning the infectious disease processes by working with patients in the hospital setting, antibiotic infusion clinic and the wound care clinic.
Length of Clerkship: 4 weeks

- Describe an integrated approach to the diagnosis and management of infections in hospitalized and ambulatory patients. EPOs: MK-4, PC-1, PC-6, PC-7
- Integrate knowledge of major pathogenic organisms with knowledge of antibiotic groups in the selection of appropriate antibiotic regimens. EPOs: PC-7
