Edward P. Kinsey (2028)
Edward P. Kinsey was appointed a National Trustee in 2026.
Kinsey is an accomplished technology entrepreneur. Trained as a finance professional, he has served several companies in the high-tech sector as CEO, COO and CFO.
A certified public accountant in Ohio and California, Kinsey began his career at PriceWaterhouseCoopers and KPMG before co-founding Ariba, Inc., a leader in spend management solutions. He later advised DocuSign’s chief financial officer ahead of its IPO and founded Determination Ventures, LLC, and Impel, Inc., securing four patents for consumer service commerce.
Kinsey currently serves as the chief financial officer of Otto Aerospace, Inc., focused on revolutionizing aviation with the most aerodynamically efficient laminar flow design to dramatically reduce drag, slash fuel consumption and cut carbon emissions by up to 90%.
Kinsey founded The Kinsey Family Foundation and established a scholarship for students without father figures.
A UToledo alumnus, Kinsey received his bachelor of business administration in accounting in 1979. He was honored as the UToledo Neff College of Business and Innovation 2025 Distinguished Alumni and was previously recognized as a University of Toledo Pacemaker of the Year and was inducted into the Neff College of Business and Innovation Hall of Fame.
