Preparing Students for High-Demand Careers with Cutting-Edge Technology

Two students reviewing data for new geography degree program

Presented with growing volumes of data about people and places, plus powerful new tools to analyze it, geographers are better equipped than ever to answer questions about the complex relationships between humans and their world.

Students are at the cutting edge of this work at The University of Toledo, where undergraduate and graduate degree programs prepare them for the data-driven careers that are growing in demand according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. These include a just-launched undergraduate Geospatial Science Program, which stands out as the first in the region to explore applications for locational data.

Supported by expert faculty, state-of-the-art software and equipment and the strength of established programs such as the competitive doctoral Spatially Integrated Social Sciences Program, graduates are ready to launch careers across a range of industries nationwide.
