Writing Center
The UToledo Writing Center supports student writers in all disciplines. During a session, our Writing Consultants engage in conversation with writers, focusing on ideas, organization, development, argument, synthesis and writers’ concerns. We encourage students to come early in the writing process so we can provide help before a writer becomes lost, stuck or overwhelmed.

Appointments
50-Minute Session
Geat for longer papers and assignments that require more feedback, such as group projects, research papers, or senior theses. Note that at the end of the appointment, the Writing Consultant will review and write a brief report before their next session.
25-Minute Session
Works well for shorter writing assignments, brainstorming sessions, and/or assistance
with research documentation and formatting, including MLA and/or APA citation styles.

What Should I Bring?
- Copy of the assignment sheet
- Draft of the paper/writing assignment
- Your goals for the session: grammar, argumentation, citation, support, etc.
