University of Toledo

Matt is a Toledo native who returned home after completing his college and graduate studies in eastern Ohio. He brings experience in academic advising, academic coaching, and student services coordination, and is excited to be at UToledo supporting students as they explore their goals, navigate degree requirements, and make informed decisions about their academic journey. In his free time, Matt enjoys watching sports, playing guitar, and going on walks with his family.

Don Emmert brings to the University of Toledo over ten years of experience directly working with students to achieve success both inside and outside of the classroom. He hails from the Cleveland, Ohio area and has a Bachelor of Science degree from The Ohio State University and an MBA from the University of Findlay.  Don’s experience working with adult learners has fueled his passion for advising, experiential education, and career exploration. When away from the office, Don enjoys a good game of cards (UNO anyone?), Japanese food (Unadon is the best), and his Shiba Inu named Nushi.
