Peter Douglas joined The Douglas Company in Toledo, Ohio in March, 1981 after working for Turner Construction Company in Chicago for three years following his graduation. Peter ran the company’s Orlando, Florida Division Office for five years, returning to Toledo in 1990, and became President in 1991, and sole stockholder in 2000. The Douglas Company is a commercial general contracting firm registered in 39 states with annual revenues of approximately $80 million focusing on the elderly, multi-family, and commercial construction markets, primarily in the Midwest and Florida.  The Company is a pioneer in design build and design assist and recruits heavily from the University of Toledo’s Civil Engineering Department. He is a member of the Young President’s Organization, Maumee Valley Chapter and has served the organization in many leadership roles.

Peter Douglas has a BS in Construction Engineering from Iowa State University and a Masters degree from Northwestern University’s J. L. Kellogg School of Management.  He is a licensed Professional Engineer in Ohio, Illinois, Indiana, and Florida and is a Licensed Contractor in 21 states.
