Co-op Program
Cooperative Education (co-op) is alternating periods of on-campus coursework with
periods of full-time, paid work assignments directly related to the student's major.
Our co-op program consists of a minimum of three co-op experiences.
The Shah Center for Engineering Career Development administers and coordinates transcript-recognized cooperative education programs for the University of Toledo College of Engineering. Engineering co-op links you with an employer in an exceptional academic partnership.
As a student, you will meet with members of the engineering co-op staff to identify your work skills, goals, and learn about available positions. You will apply to, and interview with employers for potential positions and select among the job offers that you receive. Throughout your co-op education assignment, college faculty and staff work with you and your employer to ensure that the work experience is directly related to your curriculum and career development.
