College of Engineering Donor Scholarships

Every year the College of Engineering is able to award numerous donor scholarships to both new and continuing students.

The 2023-2024 College of Engineering scholarship application deadlines for all students are as follows:

New UT Engineering Students, College Credit Plus, Post-Secondary, or Toledo Early College High School: January 3, 2023

Continuing and transfer UT Engineering Students: February 1, 2023

Choose Ohio First Scholarships

  • The University of Toledo College of Engineering is proud to offer the Choose Ohio First – IMProving REtention and Student Success in Computing (COF-IMPRESS-C). This program is for students that wish to obtain an undergraduate degree in Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), Computer Science in Engineering Technology (CSET) or Information Technology (IT). The goal of this program is to address a need in the State of Ohio for a highly-trained Computer Science (and related fields) workforce with baccalaureate degrees. The project provides financial support and an ecosystem of high-impact curricular and co-curricular activities to increase the success of academically-talented computing students needed to support economic growth for Ohio.

    The Choose Ohio First for Engineering Entrepreneurship (COFFEE) scholarship program will continue to fund students admitted between Fall 2017 - Fall 2020.  However, the COFFEE scholarship will be replaced by a new Choose Ohio First scholarship program starting with the Fall 2021 incoming class.  Details about this new program will be made available during the Spring 2021 semester.

  • This grant from the Ohio Department of Higher Education aims to increase the number of graduates equipped with the entrepreneurial training needed to translate innovative ideas in the solar, water quality, and sustainable technology sectors into economic growth for the State of Ohio. The five-year Choose Ohio for Data, Environment, Energy, Entrepreneurialism and Sustainability (COD3ES) scholarship program project provides financial support and an ecosystem of high-impact curricular and co-curricular activities to increase the success of academically talented students. 

    A total of 14 students per year will be awarded the scholarship each year and they will gain work experience or research opportunities in the solar energy, water quality, and sustainable technologies fields.  The students will also be given advanced training in entrepreneurial minded learning (EML), equity training, leadership training, and participate in design challenges to make our world more sustainable. 

Office of Student Financial Aid/Scholarship Services

  • Students may be eligible for other University of Toledo donor awards not specific to enrollment in the College of Engineering. Scholarship applications, including the Office of Student Financial Aid General Scholarship Application, can be accessed using the UT Scholarship Search. A complete listing of all opportunities and requirements for UT and outside scholarships is available on the Financial Aid website.

Greater Toledo Community Foundation Scholarships


Important Scholarship Information for Students Participating in a Co-op:

Students participating in co-ops are not eligible to use UT scholarships during co-op terms; federal aid is available by request. For information about aid eligibility and scholarship adjustments, please click here for information on Scholarships during Co-op Semesters.
