Deeply saddened by the untimely death of Dr. Margaret J. (Peggy Wheelock), and mindful of the many important contributions Dr. Wheelock made to graduate education at the University of Toledo as a Member of the Graduate Faculty, and cognizant of the eminent stature of Dr. Wheelock in the field of cell biology, and inspired by the able and dignified manner in which Dr. Wheelock carried out her leadership role as a Member of the Graduate Faculty, and thankful for the extraordinary example Dr. Wheelock set for the members of the Graduate Faculty of the University of Toledo as a superb mentor to faculty members and graduate students alike, and grateful for the tireless service Dr. Wheelock performed as a Member of the Graduate Council and Research Council of the University of Toledo:
The 2008-2009 Graduate Council of the University of Toledo extends its sincere condolences and deepest sympathy to Dr. Keith Johnson, Dr. Wheelock’s husband, constant companion, scientific collaborator, and partner in all things.
