Earth Surface Processes
Program Description Physical Track Environmental Track Associated Faculty Curricula Courses Research ProjectsEarth Surface Processes: Environmental Track
Our environment is created and controlled by geological processes and, as the global population grows exponentially, we increasingly impact our environment and vital geological processes. These impacts occur largely by modification, overuse and contamination of soil, surface water and groundwater, three crucial geologic resources. A solid comprehension of the processes that form and modify our environment is crucial in all fields dealing with environmental issues.
