Vegetation on a Non-capped Landfill in the Oak Openings Region
Kris Barnswell
Ph.D Student
Myresearch interests center on remediation and restoration of highly disturbed areas by natural processes. I am primarily interested in the vegetation that naturally develops on these contaminated and nutrient deficient areas and its return to a stable ecosystem. I am also interested in the performance of constructed wetlands in decontaminating polluted waters and applying this knowledge to the environment.
