Research Lab Facilities at the LEC

The Lake Erie Center is dedicated to environmental research and education, centering on the Lake Erie Watershed. The LEC integrates research and education programs in:
- Aquatic and Terrestrial Ecology
- Aquatic Resources and Fisheries
- Environmental Restoration Ecology
- Geography and Land Use Planning
- Hydrologic and Landscape Modeling

The Lake Erie Center houses the Aquatic Ecology Lab, the Environmental Remediation and Restoration Laboratory, the GIS & Remote Sensing Lab, the Great Lakes Genetics/Genomics Laboratory, the Applied Spatial Ecology & Invasive Species Modeling Lab, and the Western Lake Erie Limnology Laboratory. It also supports several Outreach and Education programs that are important to environmental research and protection in and around the Bay area.
