Admissions Review

Admissions review occur when an applicant selects yes of the proposed questions. The application will be flagged and reviewed by the Office of Student Conduct and Community Standards. All reviews are conducted on a case by case bases. 

Common materials requested during an admissions review

  • Police Reports
  • Court Documents
  • Records from prior institutions
  • A background check

Common Violations

Low-Level Violations that the Coordinator will be able to clear:

  • Speeding/Traffic Tickets
  • Underage Possession/Consumption of Alcohol
  • Use/Possession of Small Amount of Drugs (Marijuana)
  • DUI w/No Injuries
  • 1st Time Academic Integrity Violations

Threshold For Further Review By Associate Dean/Director or UBIT:

  • DUI w/ Injuries
  • Providing Alcohol to Minor(s)
  • Behavior That Caused Harm to Self or Others
  • Large Amounts of Drugs/Drug Dealing
  • Sexual Misconduct Violations
  • Theft

Behavior That May Warrant An Applicant Being Denied Admission to UToledo:

  • Selling/Distribution/Manufacturing Drugs
  • Sex Offenses
  • Violence
  • Applicants Currently on Probation/Parole
  • Applicants Suspended From A Previous Institution (Unless Suspension is Completed and Applicant Is Able to Return to Previous Institution)
  • Applicant Who Is Expelled From Previous Institution
