Barbara Schneider, BA Gonzaga University, MA 1996, PhD 2000, Wayne State University, is an associate professor and Associate Dean of the College of Arts and Letters. Her published work include discourse studies of student and professional writing as well as reviews and articles on the maternal body in professional discourse and popular culture, including "The Case of Demi Moore: Reading Maternity Materially," (Rhetorical Bodies, U of Wisconsin Press, 2000). She is currently splitting her research interests between articles on composition pedagogy and a book-length study on the rhetoric of pregnancy in Progressive America.
