Low Brass Day 2026

The UToledo Department of Music will host a LOW BRASS DAY on Saturday, April 11, 2026.  This free event is intended for area high school students who play a low brass instrument - trombone, baritone/euphonium, or tuba.  The day will feature masterclasses and include low brass choir rehearsals and performances, all led by our UToledo Low Brass Faculty - Melanie Case, trombone and Dr. Andrew Rhodes, tuba/euphonium.

Tentative Schedule

9:30 am - Registration
10:00 - Greetings & Masterclass
11:15 - Rehearsals: Trombone Choir and Tuba/Euphonium Choir
12:15 pm - Break & Lunch (provided on site)
1:00 - Rehearsals: Trombone Choir and Tuba/Euphonium Choir
2:00 - Concert featuring the UToledo Trombone Choir, UToledo Tuba-Euphonium Ensemble, and our Participant Ensembles
