Early Learning Center

• Camp Rockets begins on June 2, 2025 and ends on August 22, 2025.
• The Early Learning Center is open M-F from 6:30am-6:00pm.
• The Center is closed on:
  • Juneteenth - Thursday, June 19, 2025
  • Independence Day - Friday, July 4, 2025

• An adult must accompany campers in and out of the building and classrooms.
• Please notify a teacher when dropping off/picking up so attendance can be tracked.
  • Camp will be multi-age grouped with preschool before 7:30am and after 5:30pm.
  • We’re open from 6:30am-6:00pm. Campers must be picked up by 6:00pm.

Per our late pick-up policy, fees will be assessed if children are not picked up by 6:00pm, regardless of pay type. Individual fees will be assessed for each child in attendance. Our late pick-up policy is strictly enforced; excessive lateness may result in removal of your child(ren) from Camp Rockets.

• Fees are based on individual enrollment, not attendance. If a child is scheduled to attend for a certain week/day, families are responsible for payment regardless of attendance – this includes absence due to illness, center closure, vacation, etc.
• Please direct questions regarding fees and payment to the ELC office, not teachers.

• Part-time enrollment requires a pre-planned schedule of days campers will attend.
• Part-time schedules must be submitted by May 16, 2025 – after this date, no changes will be permitted, and families will be financially responsible for days enrolled.

• Please be mindful of field trip departure and return times. Campers must arrive 30 minutes prior to the time of departure. Times may vary so be sure to check the calendar.
• If a child arrives late for a field trip, families are responsible for making alternative arrangements for that day. School-aged children are not permitted to stay at the Center once Camp Rockets has departed. No exceptions will be made.
• Typically, we do not return from field trips until approximately 3:30-4:00pm. Families with commitments later in the day, please plan accordingly.

• We will share monthly calendars, which include field trip schedules. The calendar will be posted outside of each classroom and on our website – we will also share via Brightwheel.
• Field trips and/ or swimming trips are subject to change depending on the weather.

• The University contracts Trinity Transportation for all field trip bussing.

• Each child will receive one t-shirt – additional t-shirts are available for purchase if desired.
• T-shirts are to be left at the Center to ensure campers have them for field trip days. We have laundry facilities and will ensure they are washed.
• For their safety, campers are required to wear closed toe shoes on all field trips.

• We provide a morning and afternoon snack – campers are required to pack lunch daily.
  • We are a nut free facility – this means nuts and nut products are prohibited (this includes peanut butter). For the safety of others, no exceptions will be made.
• Please make our team aware if your child has a food allergy or follows a special diet – diet modification and/or medical forms will be required.

• Children cannot administer medication on their own. Please see a member of our team if medication needs to be administered while under our care. Additional forms, which may require a physician’s signature, are required for our team administer medications.

• Families must sign a sunscreen and bug spray application release as required by the state of Ohio. These products will be applied to children when deemed necessary.
• If a child has sensitivities, families may provide their own sunscreen and/or bug spray – the product must be in its original container, labeled with the child’s name. If individual sunscreen/bug spray is needed, please see a member of our team for needed paperwork.

• The last day of Camp Rockets is August 22, 2025. In most school districts, incoming kindergarten students start school later than higher grades; if this is the case for your family, please have alternative arrangements in place. We do not provide school-age care after camp ends.
